STUDENT SAFETY

The new Junior High design will improve student safety with enhanced safety features, including reduced entry points, controlled access, and the elimination of the need for students to move between buildings during the school day, creating a more secure environment. 

OCCUPATIONAL CAREERS

The project will significantly enhance career and technical education spaces, including a larger shop and classroom space, providing students with valuable skills to enter the workforce upon graduation. 

The existing McCook Junior High building has significant structural issues that cannot be adequately addressed by remodeling, necessitating new construction to ensure long-term stability and safety.
